Who We Are

Meet the Founder/Lead Teacher

Nicole’s story is rooted in the vibrant rhythms and flavors of South America. Born and raised in New Jersey, Nicole’s childhood was defined by frequent visits to family in South America and a home life where only Spanish was spoken—a tradition that allowed her to live and breathe the culture from a young age. From the traditional food on the table to the language and music in her heart, these deep cultural roots became the foundation for her life’s work.

Her professional journey is a unique blend of science, heart, and service. Nicole holds a Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition from the American College of Health Care Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Vermont. Her passion for teaching was sparked early on as a tennis instructor, but it truly blossomed while she served as a life skills aid for underserved populations in Vermont. Later, as a Nutrition Educator for the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Nicole dedicated herself to bridging the gap between health and wealth, teaching healthy cooking and nutrition to everyone, from elementary students to seniors.

In January 2020, Nicole brought her entrepreneurial spirit to Colorado, launching her career as a full-time artist and wellness practitioner. In late 2022, she founded Artistes de Luz, a unique enrichment program that integrates Spanish language immersion with the creative arts. Whether teaching in preschools or traveling to private residences, Nicole offers a child-led curriculum where students explore the Spanish language through original sing-along songs, dance, hands-on art projects, and mindfulness. Her classes are designed to be vibrant spaces of joy and wonder, providing a safe environment for students to explore their creativity while building a genuine connection to the Spanish language.

Today, Nicole is on a mission to empower her students, by building their self-confidence as both artists and Spanish speakers. By combining her love for music, art, and holistic wellness, she provides a thriving environment where children don’t just learn a language—they embrace a way of life. Every class is an invitation to explore, create, and lead with light, inspired by the same joy and heritage that shaped Nicole’s own journey.
