"Nicole’s Spanish program, Artistes de Luz, is much more than a Spanish language program. Nicole integrates mindfulness, emotional regulation, movement, music and art into her lessons. She captivates our group of 2-5 year olds with enriching songs, some of which she composes herself. Her art lessons are incredibly engaging and it is lovely how she weaves Spanish language lessons into everyday interactions with the children. As a colleague, she is also a pleasure. Her lessons are complete and well planned, but she still leaves room for collaboration and if we are focusing in on a certain subject. Her classroom management skills and sensitivity to the needs of children are fantastic, using spontaneity, gentle and kind interventions to re-engage an individual or group if needed. We’ve had the pleasure of having Nicole’s Artistes de Luz program at Spindle Box since 2022.
